A stone painted as a cat, at the market in “Via della Madonna”.Rocks of various shapes, painted as colorful fishes. An assortment of over-decorated “fiaschi” of wine. Some really amazing and original woodworks.
Your stones give me an idea of an activity for the grandsons next time I see them. The wood is nice. Painting on wine bottle straw, cool. (Ha, reminds me of a class in elementary school--each of us drilled a hole in a chianti bottle, put in an electric wire, and made a lamp.)
Haha, it wasn't me. Must have been my mother who emptied the bottle. Hard to believe, but I don't like wine unless it is sweet or mixed with soda water.
The woodworks are good, but the rest is crapola - no, not your photos, but the painted stones and especially the bottles. Mind you, I like looking at crapola if it's cheerful.
Love markets! These are great VP.

ReplyDeleteMy mother has a few stone cats. And I found a stone that I figured would look good if the painted it but she prefers that I buy then painted for her!
ReplyDeleteGood grief, I thought that was a real cat. I need to go back to bed.
ReplyDeleteI think I want that cat!
ReplyDeleteThat kitty looks quite realistic! I thought it was a real cat in the thumbnails. Lots of cute stuff here though.
ReplyDeleteThe first image reminds me of Alice's Cheshire Cat!!
ReplyDeleteI may be an advocate of kitsch, but I actually quite like the fiaschi!
