Another Sunday walk, we start in “Via Sardi” with a the funny sign of this ladies' wear shop.
At the “Petit Bateau” (Little Boat) store in “Via Ricasoli” they put paper boats in the window to publicize their sales.
Have you ever seen a baby window? This one has already grown her shutter and a pot of flowers.
A villa in “Via Calzabigi” has one of the nicest mailbox in town.
“Il brutto anatroccolo” (The Ugly Duckling) seems an appropriate name for a beauty center.More Walks

ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your Sunday walks:) This time it's difficult to say which I like the most - the imprisoned dress in the first is terrific, paper boats are really unusual not mention beauty center or mailbox, but I think that baby window is the cutest!

-50% is a bargain! So interesting about they put boats to advice about sales!
-You got me, I have never seen a “baby window” before, it’s different and gave a beautiful detail at the façade.
-I think Via Calzabigi, is an elegant place to live. I imagine here those buildings and houses ( maybe mansions) just for the example of mailbox.
-And finally, please VP, I need an appointment at that “Il brutto anatroccolo”, and it’s urgent! ;)

ReplyDeleteSo funny! Thanks for the smiles for today. The "Ugly Duckling" - I hope that is what one is when going in, not when coming out! And I have never seen the elusive baby window before; often, they nest only in hidden areas of builders' lots. I'm not sure I would wear anything from a store called "Smurfy" but I like the pink bateaus. And I would like that beautiful mailbox, please...

This is my favorite part about Europe - walking and looking at the windows for sales. That pink boats are cute, but no cuteness can make me have more kids :) The sight of baby clothes and diapers is horrifying - I just got out of it and sent those babies to school :)
