When I said “last turret” it was only in merely topographic terms, because there are still several villas to be seen on “Viale Italia”.

It is definitely in Moorish style and, as any other villas in this place, it was built in the 1930s.

The turret is quite elegant and the whole thing is perfectly kept.

I'm afraid you'll have to expect few more of these fancy buildings in the next days.

ReplyDeletePlease, more turrets! These are wonderful to look at. I especially like the angle of light in the first one - and the clouds.

I really like the blue in the windows! It goes well with the yellow. I would love to see more of these!
ReplyDeleteYeah! I love seeing those villas! Couldn't you ring their doorbell and ask to go inside for coffee and a few photos for the Livorno Daily Photo blog?! I'm more than a little curious!
ReplyDeleteI would agree with Leif. Ring the bell, coffee and some photos inside! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely...That large window esp. Works really well with the blue shades - who would of thought. Does anyone know what the script means?
ReplyDeleteLook at that light! Brilliant.
ReplyDeleteThey keep getting more dramatic. They are all wonderful, and the first shot is spectacular. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of them.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how imaginative can people be! I feel a bit ambivelent about those villas, but can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteNice week o you:)
wow the light in the first pic is stunning !
ReplyDeleteI will try my best so handle all these fancy homes.
ReplyDeleteThis is mansion, isn't this?
ReplyDeleteWe call every condominium mansion in my country.
So I live in "mansion"!
I think we can handle a few more fancy places, especially with that extraordinary light shining on them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful building. The palm was well chosen, it adds to the overall feel of the scene.
ReplyDeleteWas Moorish style a trend in 1930's Livorno?
Bring them on! Especially if they're as gorgeous as the two you've just posted. The details are just fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI thought surely Per Stromsjo would mention the "Swedish" colors!
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous place and you can keep posting pictures of such as long as you like - please!
This is a bit more ornate and "turreted" than our villa...do you think the owners might consider a trade?
I like this one. Those keyhole windows are neat and the yellow is so cheery.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they're using what we call "hurricane shutters". I must say, it's pretty clever the way that they've used them.
ReplyDeleteThe yellow and blue combo is pretty!
ReplyDeleteAh! ;-) More turrets!
ReplyDeleteThis will be mine. It's fresh and pretty.
The first picture with this jolly mansion and the menacing dark clouds makes for great contrast!
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!

@ Leif & Luis - Tomorrow's 'turret' is open to the public...
ReplyDelete@ Tash - I don't know if the arabesques are real or fancy decorations...
@ Andreea - May be in this block! The others are more conventional.
ReplyDelete@ Jacob - I am now curious to see your villa, but Florida as location trumps poor Livorno every day!
@ VP - Manana, mi amigo. Oops! Wrong language.
ReplyDeleteOh well, that's about all I know in Spanish, too!
@ ciel - We'd be neighbors, my favorite is the next one.
ReplyDeleteMore dramatic sky and lovely building.!!!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? I love fancy buildings, not that I've ever lived in one. This one is great - look what blue shutters can do. Dramatic sky adds a lot to the atmosphere.
ReplyDeleteGotta love the colors! Those shutters are the perfect blue against the pastel yellow :)
ReplyDeleteawesome, wonderful...This is just the one, what i am looking for...thanks...location villa
