  1. And as usual the most beautiful houses still have those bloody boring cars lined up in front of them. There should be some law against this!

  3. You've been hiding this gem from us. It's really outstanding! Nice, nice photos, too.

  4. It's picture perfect. If I could design a building it would look a lot like this. (I hope the villa gets a benefector too to pay for a speedier restoration. I'd think the well-to-do neighbors would want to pitch in.)

  6. Eye-catching is the word alright. WE don't have buildings like this here and it's always a pleasure to see them.
(I'll have the top balcony please!)
    Cheers.

  7. This one is very pretty - not as much as the fencing champion one, but very close! Looks like a doll castle!

  13. The palette for this building is gorgeous, VP. This building has a touch of the Moors to it. Do you think?

I knew you would be hurrying me along to get to the boats and not waste time with preparations and people!! I will agree that boating can be a genre all its own!

  15. Except for the cars this could be a Shakespearean stage setting.

  16. Wow... it's almost Glasgow Style, as if Mackintosh had a hand in it somewhere! I think it's one of the neatest buildings I've ever seen. Just another reason to get to Livorno one day.

  21. @ joo - Other buildings in the same street date back to the early 1930's, but I'm not sure.
@ Julie - It has definitely a Moorish touch.
